Um… not much to say here, but Dark Revelations is my card throwing team. We have approximately 71 official members and about 30+ active members. Some are from my school and others elsewhere and faraway, but nevertheless part of our team. We have ranks based on nothing really (people are just chosen by some valued members) and ranks based on skill. I’m technically, but to be honest I might say my skill level is 3/71. I have my own mini team called the Squad 10 which comprises of the 10 top ranked members of Dark Revelations. We also have a sub-team Ninja or sum shit; can’t remember but my friend Sam who is 5th rank in DR is the leader of that.
The concept of a “card duel”:
Well, just stay with me here. I made all the rules for this stuff so yeah, nothing official or anything but this is literally how you challenge some1 if they make fun at you or decide to test their skill to yours. First, you are allowed a maximum of 300 cards (anymore you probably wouldn’t be able to hold it). If you do not have a deck then 50+ standard plastic cards will be supplied. You need stand 5-10m away from each other in a straight line (5m is generally for people who can’t throw far). Now if you can actually throw, then this will be like literally have a dummy which won’t move. Each turn, you are given 10 seconds to throw as many cards at the person’s body (under the neck); you can even deck them. There is no limit, but if you run out of cards it’s not my problem. There are a total of 20 turns meaning 10 turns each, when it’s over then the judges or who else will vote for the best throws and stuff. It’s not uncommon for the opponent to forfeit from pain. Now, here’s the part with the trust. You are not allowed to aim at your opposition’s head, if you do well then your opponent gets a 10 second penalty throw at you (and yeah… they can hit your head). If it’s an accident then it can’t be helped.
If you wanna join Dark Revelations, there’s not much required of you. Just have some basic experience of card throwing possibly by watching a video or sumthin on youtube and contact one of the Squad 10 or me personally or via email (my email can be found throughout this blog).
